I’m a technology and operations executive with 25+ years of experience turning complex business problems into systems, processes, and teams that actually work. My career has taken me from building IT infrastructure from the ground up, through supply chain leadership during one of the most turbulent periods in global logistics, to where I am today - embedded in a sales organization, using AI and data to transform how we sell and serve customers.
I’ve led eight M&A integrations, built data warehouses, deployed ERP and CRM systems, implemented complex IT infrastructure, managed freight and inventory at scale, and spent months in Germany untangling the aftermath of an acquisition. I hold an MBA with Distinction from Fresno State and certifications in project management, networking, and systems engineering. However, none of that is the most interesting thing about me.
I first flow solo in an airplane at 16. Today I hold a commercial pilot certificate and an FAA flight instructor certificate with an instrument rating. Flying isn’t just a hobby — it’s shaped how I think. Decision-making under pressure, situational awareness, knowing when you have enough information to act and when you don’t: those habits don’t stay in the cockpit.
The other thing you should know about me is that I go deep on things. Not casually-interested deep — obsessively, research-everything, talk-to-everyone, build-a-spreadsheet deep. I picked up guitar at 14 and spent years getting genuinely good at it before passing my collection of guitars and amps to my son, who picked it up at 15 and hasn’t put it down. During COVID I got into woodworking and built out a proper shop; I’ve since built furniture that lives in my home. I’ve gone deep on watches, on fragrances, on tools and equipment, and yes — even on simple purchases like refrigerators and frying pans. If something is worth doing, it’s worth understanding completely.
This site is where I share what I’ve learned. You’ll find my professional background here, but also long-form posts on flying, woodworking, gear, and whatever else I’m currently too far down the rabbit hole on. I write the kind of guide I wish I’d had at the start — the one that skips the surface-level advice and gets to what actually matters.
I’m based in California’s Central Valley and also open to new connections.

A concise overview of my experience, skills, and interests.
I’m Brian Pozar, an Information Technology, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations executive with more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale transformation in manufacturing and distribution. Today I serve as Director of Technology Transformation at NDS, where I focus on using AI, data, and modern tooling to streamline operations, empower teams, and drive measurable business outcomes. I sit within the sales organization, reporting to the VP of Sales, and work closely with Sales and Customer Service leaders to improve how we sell, serve customers, and make decisions.
Earlier in my career I built my foundation in IT, progressing from Systems Engineer to Director of Information Technology at NDS. I led infrastructure, ERP, analytics, and web/app development initiatives, integrated multiple acquisitions, and helped move the business toward more data-driven, customer-centric operations. After NDS was acquired by NORMA Group, I shifted into supply chain leadership — ultimately serving as Director of Logistics, Planning, and Data Science — where I was responsible for inventory, service, material purchasing, and freight spend, and used analytics, planning tools, and process improvements to strengthen service and cost performance.
I hold an MBA with Distinction from California State University, Fresno, along with technical certifications including MCSE and CCNA. Outside of the office, I’m also a commercially rated pilot and FAA-certified flight instructor, which reflects the same mix of discipline, continuous learning, and calm decision-making I bring to my work. Taken together, my background in IT, supply chain, and sales operations lets me operate comfortably at the intersection of strategy and execution: understanding how the business really works, then building the systems, processes, and teams that help it work better.
Experience #Director of Technology Transformation · NDS — Remote 2024 – Present
Lead AI, data, and tooling initiatives within the sales organization to improve sales and customer service operations.
Director of Logistics, Planning, & Data Science · NORMA Group — California 2019 – 2024
Owned inventory, material purchasing, and freight spend while building data-driven logistics and planning capabilities.
Director of Information Technology · NORMA Group — California & Germany 2014 – 2019
Led post-acquisition IT integration, data/BI transformation, and warehouse technology improvements.
Director of Information Technology / IT Manager / IT Supervisor · NDS — California 2001 – 2014
Scaled IT, integrated multiple acquisitions, and delivered ERP, BI, e-commerce, and infrastructure improvements.
Systems Engineer · EMD Networking Services — California 1998 – 2001
Designed, built, and maintained Microsoft and Cisco environments for a range of client organizations.
Skills & Focus Areas #Transformation & Leadership Vision, strategy, execution, cross-functional leadership, and change management.
Sales Operations & Commercial Sales operations, CRM, S&OP, forecasting, pricing tools, and customer/partner portals.
Supply Chain & Logistics SIOP, logistics, transportation, inventory planning, and global freight management.
Data & Analytics SQL, Python, BI and visualization (e.g., Tableau), data warehousing, and applied AI/analytics.
IT & Infrastructure ERP and business systems, IT operations, networking, security, and disaster recovery.
Education & Certifications #MBA, Business Administration (with Distinction) California State University, Fresno
BS, Business Administration
Certifications
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Project Management Expert — Frankfurt School of Finance & Management FAA Commercial Pilot FAA Certified Flight Instructor (including Instrument)
